A personal blog for me (magianic/neb). I write mostly about philosophy, mathematics, and aesthetics. I think opinionation is an important part of any resource you read. I am not a rationalist, Bayesian, et cetera. I am roughly Hegelian but only roughly in the sense that while German idealism influences a lot of my thinking, it is not an orthodoxy I hold myself to or anything like that. I also wouldn’t call myself particularly well read either in idealism. My mathematical interests are primarily centered around PDEs and mechanics, but I have a pretty general taste. For aesthetics, I am a big fan of music and music theory / musicology / et cetera. My favorite composer is J.S. Bach.
I started this blog because I ramble too much as is and I figure I may as well ramble somewhere where there will be something lasting to see. I also program, but it’s not something I am particularly wordy about these days, outside of machine learning.
